Given the evidence for the efficacy of home- and community-based services (HCBS) and new, but time-limited federal investments in this area, there are opportunities for states and health plans to invest in approaches that can expand access to HCBS.

This tip sheet, based on a literature review of available evidence on HCBS efficacy, is intended to help states and health plans identify near-term and longer-term opportunities to invest in approaches that expand access to services and supports that help individuals live and age at home and in the community.
