The Medicare-Medicaid integrated model with the largest number of dually eligible enrollees is a Medicare Advantage plan known as a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP). Despite rapid growth in the number of beneficiaries in D-SNPs, voluntary disenrollment rates among this population are higher than those among Medicare-only enrollees.
This report summarizes key findings of a study examining variations in disenrollment patterns in D-SNPs related to member experience, quality of care, and level of Medicare-Medicaid integration.
